2nd workshop of the Erasmus KA2 Breath IN Project - 'Towards a better and sustainable indoor air quality environment

 

On the 28th and 29th of November, the 2nd Workshop of the Erasmus KA2 Breath IN Project - 'Towards a better and sustainable indoor air quality environment', was held at the Polytechnic of Tomar, consisting of a consortium of four Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from three European countries. from three European countries, led by the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT) from Portugal, with the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPLeiria, Portugal), the University of Nicosia (UNIC, Cyprus) and the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH, Greece) as co-promoters. Over the two days, researchers from the project's partner universities, but also from IPMA and the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, presented their research work and promoted the debate on climate change and its impact on air quality and well-being. The event was also attended by some of the region's town halls, who had the opportunity to learn about the impact of the fires on the region's air quality and how it is being monitored. Further actions are planned within the project to reach out to different academic communities and stakeholders to promote more sustainable practices in institutions and society.
