Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for staff An Inclusive University in a diverse world
The Polytechnic of Tomar will organise a Blended Intensive Programme on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion between June 6 to 17, 2022 (6 to 10 physical component and 17 virtual component).
The main objective of this BIP, named An Inclusive University in a diverse world, is to provide training for European HEIs staff on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Through practical workshops, the following topics will be addressed:
- What is a Gender equality plan and why is it important?
- Developing a GEP: steps; engaging the organisation.
- Work-life balance and organisational culture.
- Integration of the gender-dimension into research and teaching content.
- Measures against gender-based violence including sexual harassment.
The BIP is open to HEIs’ staff interested in learning more about equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The BIP will have a physical component and a virtual component. The physical component will take place at the Polytechnic of Tomar, in Portugal, from June 6 to June 10, 2022. The virtual component will take place on June 17, 2022.

Costs - Our BIP has no registration fees. The welcome dinner is included in the programme as the cultural visit to the city, but the costs with travelling, accommodations and meals shall be supported by the participants. However, the participants from our ERASMUS + partner universities can apply, in their own Universities, for an ERASMUS + grant to support these costs.
