Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for staff An Inclusive University in a diverse world
The Polytechnic of Tomar organised a Blended Intensive Programme on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion between June 6 to 17, 2022 (6 to 10 physical component and 17 virtual component). The main objective of this BIP, named An Inclusive University in a diverse world, is to provide training for European HEIs staff on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Through practical workshops, the following topics were addressed:
- What is a Gender equality plan and why is it important?
- Developing a GEP: steps; engaging the organisation.
- Work-life balance and organisational culture.
- Integration of the gender-dimension into research and teaching content.
- Measures against gender-based violence including sexual harassment.
The BIP was open to HEIs’ staff interested in learning more about equality, diversity, and inclusion. The BIP had a physical component and a virtual component. The physical component took place at the Polytechnic of Tomar, in Portugal, from June 6 to June 10, 2022. while the virtual component took place on June 17, 2022.
