Objectives 

1. Increase interest in integrated heritage, namely mural paintings and tiles, through actions for their study and preservation.

2. Identify the main techniques and types of mortar used in the production of mural paintings and tile application in Portugal.

3. Recognize the most common pathologies and causes of degradation in tiles and mural paintings.

4. Carry out conservation and restoration work on integrated heritage.

5. Draft and present a conservation and restoration project.

Methods and outcomes

1. Use of problem-based learning methodology, applied to specific conservation and restoration interventions. This methodology is complemented by the presentation of specific case studies, contributing to the acquisition of the fundamentals for understanding real problems, as well as visits to monuments of special artistic interest.

2. Teaching and knowledge acquisition combine practical work experience and b-learning.

3. Promote learning in conservation and restoration of integrated heritage (tiles and mural painting).

4. Develop diagnostic work, intervention proposals and conservation work on integrated heritage.

5. Prepare reports and presentations on conservation and restoration interventions on integrated heritage.
